Job Title : Clinical Laboratory Specialist

Job Description

A Clinical Laboratory Specialist ensures operational efficiency and maintains regulatory compliance while performing their duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular, serologic, and manufacturing sample testing ranging from routine to high complexity.
• Accession clinical samples and manage data entry / reporting in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Monitor and document daily, weekly, and monthly quality control metrics.
• Maintain equipment calibrations and support method validations and assay development.
• Train new staff and conduct competency assessments.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, cGMP, and regulatory guidelines.
• Handle samples and materials using proper PPE and safety protocols.
• Document deviations and CAPA submissions using MediaLab software.
• Summarize quality metrics using Microsoft tools.

Work Environment

Work is performed in both a lab and an office environment. The role requires frequent sitting for a total of 4-6 hours per day.

Location

This position is based out of San Marcos, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00 / hr.
