Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist to provide specialized support in an early childhood educational setting on a contract basis. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in pediatric physical therapy, particularly within school environments focused on developmental stages from birth to early elementary years.

Location : Andover, MN

Position Type : Contract (Leave Replacement)

Specialty : Early Childhood Education

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to support motor development and physical functioning.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other therapists to integrate physical therapy goals into the classroom setting and daily activities.
  • Provide direct physical therapy interventions tailored to young children's needs.
  • Document progress and municate findings regularly to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate services and support student success.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Licensed Physical Therapist with current credentials applicable in Minnesota.
  • Experience working with early childhood populations in a school or similar environment.
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the developmental needs of young children.
  • Strong munication and collaboration skills to engage with families and school staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of educational regulations and procedures related to special education services is preferred.
