$1,612 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Ophthalmic Technician

Profession : Ophthalmology

Experience : Three years of experience in Ophthalmology

License : Valid WI License required at the time of submission

Certifications : BLS, JCAHPO certification preferred, Medical Assistant graduate preferred

Must-Have : Successful completion of a medical terminology course required

Description :

This is a 13-week assignment requiring 40 hours per week.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM.

There is no on-call duty, floating, or weekend work required.

Candidates must have three years of experience in Ophthalmology.

BLS certification is required.

Successful completion of a medical terminology course is necessary.

Preferred qualifications include certification as an Ophthalmic Technician awarded by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology.

Candidates should be graduates of a medical assistant program.

First-time travelers are accepted.

The daily schedule includes a half-hour lunch break with varying hours depending on the day.

Candidates will be required to follow regulations and policies while performing their duties.

Key skills for this position include the ability to perform basic eye exams, obtain and record medical histories, and provide patient education.

Additional responsibilities include sterilizing and maintaining surgical instruments, scheduling patient appointments, and assisting with follow-up phone calls.

The role may involve instructing patients on contact lens care and performing refractions.

Attention to detail and effective communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Compliance with all facility protocols is required.

Candidates are expected to plan ahead to avoid scheduling conflicts that may interfere with the assignment.
