We are searching for a full-time Campus Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible supervising the Maintenance Associates for the Mary Wade campus by communicating, cooperating, and collaborating with all department managers regarding the maintenance needs of each department; addresses complaints / resolves problems for facilities management on the entire Mary Wade Campus. This will include The Mary Wade Home, Chatham Place and Chatham Village. This position will report to the Director of Campus Facilities.

Schedule : 40 hours per week. Ability to be flexible with the schedule to accommodate the needs of the departments and campus.

Our resident population is primarily seniors with varying levels of acuity.

Job Responsibilities Included Below But Not Limited To

  • Supervises Maintenance departments for the entire Mary Wade campus
  • Communicates, cooperates, and collaborates with all department manager regarding the maintenance needs of each department; addresses complaints / resolves problems
  • Places and receives orders of all equipment and supplies.
  • Supervises room inspections for new residents in the skilled nursing facility, residential care home and Chatham Place; identifies items in need of repair or replacement and advises Maintenance
  • Supervises set-up of "special events"
  • Ensures through supervision for any repairs for residents in the skilled nursing facility, adult day center, Chatham Place and residential care home.
  • Perform duties as needed and in the event of a call out when no replacement is available.
  • Performs scheduled rounds in all areas of the the campus ensure all standards are met and the small details are addressed consistently throughout the day and night.
  • Create, implement, and oversee short- and long-term plans for performance improvement for employees as needed to maintain all facility standards.
  • Educates staff and assigned personnel to be responsible for designated areas
  • Completes documentation as requested by Director of Campus Facilities for tracking and planning purposes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • General maintenance skills with basic electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical ability.
  • Experience supervising maintenance
  • Knowledge of the senior retirement community or healthcare setting is required
  • Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound decisions
  • Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly in a healthcare setting.
  • Typing skills and computer knowledge.
  • Prior MS Office experience, including Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork with peers and other departments.
  • Contributes to meeting the fluctuating staffing needs of the department as evidenced by flexibility in assignments and work schedules.
  • Engages in positive customer service interaction with residents, families and visitors.
  • Takes ownership of an error in delivery of service and works to correct the problem.
  • Displays good attendance and is punctual.
  • Ability to have positive communication, work ethics and teamwork with employees.
