Responsibilities of the GL Accountant :

Prepare accurate general ledger entries and financial statements for company and subsidiaries executive management and board of director review.

Research, analyze and document explanations for variances in general ledger accounts.

Reconcile a variety of general ledgers and ensure outages are rectified promptly.

Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger according to GAAP, maintaining complex Excel spreadsheets for supporting documentation.

Crosstrain to perform critical functions to back up key personnel and research complex outages.

Communicate productively and professionally with employees and vendors to resolve issues and answer general ledger related questions.

Collaborate with teammates to improve internal processes.

Prepare financial reports for the company and its subsidiaries.

Requirements of the GL Accountant :

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance

3-5 years GAAP accounting experience, preferably with financial institution audit experience, or multi-entity experience

Ability to manage multiple / complex tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.

Blackline strongly preferred
