Overview

Seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a Level I Trauma and Magnet-designated teaching hospital. The ideal candidate will be skilled in scrubbing and circulating complex cardiovascular and vascular surgeries and thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with all phases of cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures
  • Scrub and circulate for complex vascular cases, including CABG, TAVR, MAZE, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, and LVAD procedures
  • Maintain a sterile environment and ensure accurate instrument handling
  • Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, and anesthesia staff during procedures
  • Adhere to hospital safety and infection control protocols

    • Requirements

  • Active RN License : South Carolina or Compact
  • Experience : Minimum 2 years in CVOR required
  • Certifications : BLS, ACLS (AHA required)
  • EMR Experience : EPIC preferred
  • On-Call : 5–8 calls per month, including weekends and holidays
  • Travel Experience : Not required
  • Locals : Accepted within 60-mile radius (rate adjustments may apply)

  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 1
  • Daily Volume : ~28 cases per day
  • Operating Rooms : 10
  • Common Procedures : Endovascular, TEVAR, FEVAR, AAA, EVAR, Carotid, Thrombectomy, Amputation, AV Fistula
  • Support Staff : IV Teams, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Radiology, RRT, Unit Secretary
