About The Position

Must-Have : General ICU skillset including experience with critical care medications, management of invasive lines, and ventilator management.

Description :

RN position in the Intensive Care Unit.

Facility has 33 beds and is not a teaching hospital.

The unit does not hold trauma designation.

No current stroke accreditation.

Patient care includes a variety of diagnoses, excluding cardiac surgical cases.

Common patient types include but are not limited to sepsis, ARDS, GI bleeds, DKA, cardiac arrest, withdrawal, and renal failure.

Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 1-2.

Support staff includes CNAs for assistance with daily activities and mobility.

Charge nurse is available 24 / 7.

The team includes phlebotomy services and RT staff around the clock.

Intensivist coverage is provided during specific hours.

EMR system used is EPIC.

Unit-specific equipment includes telemetry monitors and various critical care tools.

Floating among facilities may be required per operational needs.

Travelers may be compensated for travel time between facilities while on the clock.

Scheduled shifts occur every six weeks.

Weekend rotation is every other weekend.

Travelers will be expected to work 75% of holidays.

Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays, with adjustments to the contract duration if necessary.

Scrub color required is navy.
