Occupational Therapist (School-Based)

About Us

New Start Staffing is dedicated to connecting talented professionals with meaningful opportunities. We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to work in school settings, helping students succeed academically and personally.

Position Overview

Our Occupational Therapists work 7.5 hours per day on all student days, following the school district calendar. This role involves evaluating and addressing fine motor, visual-perceptual, and sensory challenges that impact students’ educational performance. Whether you’re a recent graduate or a seasoned professional, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide therapy to support student success in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to tailor services to each student’s needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations and assessments.

Requirements

  • Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate (Washington State).
  • Washington Department of Health (DoH) license for Occupational Therapy.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) number (or willingness to obtain).
  • Successful completion of a fingerprint and background check.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Pediatric occupational therapy experience (preferred but not required).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to diverse student needs and school environments.
