Job Description

The MRI Technologist reports to the designated leader within the Imaging Department. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, you will provide clinical services according to MRI practice standards and act as a resource to MRI students and other technologists while ensuring optimal department functions. Responsibilities include :

  • Administering sound patient care practices according to department / hospital policies while ensuring patient safety.
  • Demonstrating magnetic safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintaining equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Completing ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.

    • Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Minimum two (2) years of acute care experience
  • High School Diploma required
  • Diploma from a certified school of Radiology required
  • BS or MS in healthcare preferred
  • Current ARRT (MR) certification required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
