Mobile Engineering Manager

The Mobile Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering that visionleading a team that shapes the user-facing products and multiplatform experiences that power our iCasino and Sportsbook apps.

As an Engineering Manager- Mobile, you'll operate at the intersection of leadership and hands-on technical impact. You'll mentor engineers, shape the direction of our frontend and mobile architecture, and drive execution across Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), web, and native client experiences. This is a hybrid role that blends technical vision, strategic delivery, and people leadership - perfect for someone who thrives in fast-moving, innovative environments and wants to help define the future of digital sports entertainment.

Responsibilities Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on multiplatform (Kotlin) and web-based experiences.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, ownership, and inclusionempowering engineers to experiment, learn, and deliver high-impact work.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to define clear technical and business goals.
  • Drive sprint planning, technical reviews, and architecture discussions with clarity and accountability.
  • Champion data-driven decisions, using metrics to guide team performance and project prioritization.
  • Invest in the professional development of your teamproviding feedback, coaching, and career growth opportunities.

Technical Strategy & Execution

  • Own the design, development, and evolution of scalable frontend systems built with Kotlin Multiplatform, ensuring consistency and performance across Android, iOS, and Web.
  • Architect, implement, and maintain shared codebases and reusable UI components across platforms.
  • Collaborate with backend leaders to define APIs and integration strategies that enable seamless user experiences.
  • Drive best practices in observability, testing, performance optimization, and operational excellence.
  • Lead technical execution for complex projects from ideation to delivery, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architectural health.
  • Actively contribute to code reviews, ensuring quality and maintainability while mentoring engineers on technical craftsmanship.
  • Stay ahead of emerging frontend technologies, evaluating tools and frameworks that can enhance team productivity or user experience.
  • Qualifications Required

  • 2+ years of experience in engineering leadership or technical management, with a track record of growing and mentoring teams.
  • 5+ years of frontend or mobile engineering experience, with deep expertise in Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
  • Demonstrated success delivering cross-platform products that serve millions of users.
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture patterns (e.g., MVI, MVVM) and modern frameworks (e.g., Jetpack Compose, React, SwiftUI).
  • Proven experience collaborating closely with backend, product, and design stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills; able to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing in Agile / Scrum environments and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Preferred

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing distributed or remote teams.
  • Familiarity with Material Design, cross-platform APIs, and mobile / web interoperability.
  • Experience leading technical decisions in high-growth or startup environments.
  • Passion for sports, gaming, or entertainment technology.

    The expected salary range for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award. Salary range is listed in USD; actual salary will vary based on location. Salary Range : $144,000 - $205,000 per year (actual salary will be determined in part by a successful candidate's geographic location). In addition to base salary, bonus, and equity, full-time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, paid time off, and other benefits like GymPass, Pet Insurance, Family Care Benefits, and more. We'll also give you $700 to set up your home office! Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
