The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Network Systems Grad Intern position for the Network Systems Department within the Mission Payloads Division (MPD). Position will be full-time and 100% onsite at our office in El Segundo, CA.

Graduate Intern will join the Network Systems Department to support activities related to systems acquisition; from requirement development all the way to validation and verification. The chosen candidate will support our space network modeling and simulation / emulation tool development as well as our post-processing suite of tools. Work Model

This position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo, Ca.

What You'll Be Doing

Prototype software for modeling and simulation of future network architectures.

Deliver technical briefings to customers and internal team.

Participate in the development and improvement of our networking modeling and simulation suite of tools.

Participate in development of data analysis and post-processing tools.

Collaborate onsite or remotely with our experienced networking engineers.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements :

Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a master's degree program in an accredited college / university program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related.

Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program after completion of the internship.

Fluent proficiency in a programming language. Python and C++ preferred.

Applied research in analytical, simulation, and / or experimental skills.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
