About the Role
Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working with tools and tackling mechanical challenges in the field? We're looking for a reliable and self-motivated Field Service Technician (FST) to join our growing team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing non-IT healthcare equipment at various client locations, ensuring safety, functionality, and customer satisfaction.
This is a non-IT, field-based role —perfect for those with experience in construction, low-voltage installations, light mechanical repair, or similar trades.
What You'll Do
- Equipment Installation & Field Service : Install, troubleshoot, and repair non-networked healthcare equipment at medical and commercial facilities
- Use hand and power tools to install on a variety of surfaces including drywall, tile, and masonry
- Read and interpret installation diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals
- Maintain clean and organized work areas at all job sites
Customer & Team Communication
Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for client representativesCommunicate effectively with Field Managers, Team Leads, and clients throughout project executionIdentify and escalate project issues, inventory concerns, or site discrepancies in real timeReporting & Documentation
Complete daily documentation including timecards, expense reports, service notes, and checklistsCapture and upload high-quality photos showing completed work and any noted issuesSubmit sign-off forms and reports using company systemsInventory Management
Verify delivery and condition of parts and materials at each siteReport missing, damaged, or incorrect inventory before starting installationsReturn unused or damaged units to proper packaging as requiredWhat You Bring
Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED1+ year experience in a field service, maintenance, or hands-on trade roleProficient with standard hand and power tools (drills, levels, etc.)Comfortable working independently in customer-facing environmentsStrong communication skills—both verbal and writtenWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience
Background in construction, low-voltage systems, plumbing, or general maintenanceFamiliarity with reading blueprints or installation guidesPrior experience working in healthcare or regulated environmentsKey Attributes for Success
