Our client a professional intellectual property platform and services company headquartered in Silicon Valley and with a presence in Europe and Asia has exclusively retained Solutus Legal Search to assist its executives in hiring a Chief Intellectual Property Counsel.

The company’s vision is to optimize the global high‑tech intellectual property environment to be efficient, respected and balanced so that technology companies can have predictable low‑cost design freedom and are compensated fairly for impactful patented inventions.
The Opportunity :
Our client is looking for a Chief Intellectual Property Counsel with significant licensing and litigation expertise to join its dynamic executive leadership team. The role reports directly to the President and will manage a team and perform all traditional chief IP duties with a strong emphasis on portfolio evaluation, acquisition, monetization and the business drivers that underpin success in an innovation‑heavy environment.
The ideal candidate will have both law‑firm and in‑house experience and will be based in the Bay Area or Los Angeles / Orange County (though excellent remote candidates will also be considered).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE :
The target base salary range is $260,000 – $275,000 plus a target annual bonus of 25%-30%. The total compensation package will vary based on qualifications and years of directly relevant experience and will include a significant per‑transaction revenue share program and equity.
