Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Facilitates development and implementation of data collection tools and processes including identifying data elements needed to complete appropriate measurement, performing timely data collection and abstraction per specifications, and validating data prior to submission or preview reports prior to publication.
- Generates reports and analyses to support related quality improvement, patient safety, patient experience and operational effectiveness using key statistical tools (including run charts, bar charts, pie charts, control charts, and cause and effect diagrams). Analyzes data, identifies key findings and develops action plans. Presents complex data with clarity in an easy-to-understand format.
- Learns, understands and becomes proficient in relevant facility, Dignity Health and external data sources and systems (e.g., clinical process and outcome data, electronic health record data, event reporting data, patient complaints) and assists in designing, developing, maintaining and updating clinical and other databases based on department and organizational needs.
- Collaborates on multidisciplinary teams and provides analytical support for various projects related to quality improvement, patient safety, patient experience and outcomes, as appropriate. Interprets, explains and discusses data analysis results.
Job Requirements
Associate's Degree or three (3) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of a degree.Minimum of one (1) year of analytic / statistical analysis experience, preferably in a health-care or clinic environment.Where You'll Work
