Security Officer - Commercial Site Patrol - Full Time

As a Security Officer in Plano, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining approachable and visible to tenants and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with building occupants, and support access control by assisting with badge checks. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and / or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents and to observe for unusual activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and / or occurrences as required by Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with property management staff and local authorities when necessary to support a secure environment.
  • Remain visible and approachable to assist tenants, visitors, and contractors with inquiries or directions as needed.
  • Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and the site management.
  • Adapt to varying working environments and conditions as required by the commercial real estate location.

  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
