This Position reports to : Senior Engineering Manager
Role and Responsibilities
As the Sr. Project Engineer - Protection & Control, you will be responsible for designing and executing the protection and control engineering components of projects and ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, HSE requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments. You will also be responsible for engineering analysis and troubleshooting for automation, control, and protection in power systems.
Approach customers with integrity and respect for long-lasting relationships. You will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems and develop and execute objectives per business metric.
For this position, we are open to candidates being full remote or working out of our Houston, TX or Lake Mary, FL offices. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions group in the United States.

The Division offers segment-specific products and solutions that serve utilities, industry and infrastructure segments, often providing the requisite medium voltage link between high-voltage transmission systems and low-voltage users. With ABB Ability enabled connected solutions at its core, the offering includes medium-voltage air- and gas-insulated switchgear (1 to 66 kilovolts), indoor and outdoor circuit breakers, reclosers, fuses, contactors, relays, instrument transformers, sensors, motor control centers, as well as low-voltage switchgear for the ANSI standard markets.

While base salary is determined by qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $98,700 and $157,920 annually.
