Mechanical Technician

It is the role of the mechanical technician to ensure a high level of technical support to the plant operations and to identify sources of complications by observing mechanical devices while in operation and tune in for issues by utilizing accuracy and inspection instruments. Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.

Candidates with automotive experience are strongly encouraged to apply. $20+ starting based on experience. The individual vying for this post will require sufficient understanding of metal properties, layout, troubleshooting industrial machines, and shop mathematics. It may also involve altering or assembling components of equipment.

• Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble
• Fabricate, disassemble and assemble production equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
• Lubricates and cleans parts
• Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and troubleshoot / repair processing, filling and packaging production equipment
• Performs general maintenance and minor repairs to building, including minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician
• Read and interpret equipment manuals
• Maintain activity logs
• Other duties assigned by supervisor or management
