Responsibilities Work in critical care float pool covering NICU, PICU, and CTICU units NICU Level III setting with frequent floating to PICU and CTICU based on census Neonatal and pediatric patient population including critically ill infants and children Night shifts : 3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 30 Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed No on-call responsibility Utilizes EPIC for documentation Must float to PICU and CTICU as required by hospital census and staffing needs Completion of pre-start modules and approximately 8 hours of EPIC training is required Maximum of 5 days of requested time off allowed, with no time off on Black Friday 11 / 28 or between 12 / 21-12 / 23 Requested time off must be submitted at application and is subject to management approval Candidates residing within 50 miles are considered local and offered the local pay rate Must provide a professional reference from within the last 2 years Scrub requirements and specific dress code details to be provided upon hire Requirements Active CA RN license in hand Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU RN experience required Current certifications : BLS and Advanced NRP Experience required in NICU, PICU, and CTICU settings Proficient with neonatal intensive care skills including phototherapy, tube / gavage feeding, blood product management, PICC and peripheral line management, anti-seizure medication administration, neonatal abstinence care, phlebotomy, Bubble CPAP, HFNC, ventilators, vasopressors, and caffeine administration EPIC charting experience preferred First-time travelers accepted if they meet experience requirements No prior permanent staff at the hiring health system permitted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-616858.
