job_description.job_card.job_descriptionImplement and manage data ingestion and transformation pipelines to ensure a seamless data flow from source to destination. Work with event buses to manage real-time data streaming and processing. Engineer data solutions that support the development and implementation of analysis and visualization tools. Create and implement automated configuration and deployment processes to enhance performance, accessibility, and ease of management of the platform and its related services. Establish and manage administrator and service accounts, maintain accurate system documentation, and effectively resolve technical issues. Utilize scripting tools to craft self-service capabilities within the Platform as a Service (PaaS), fostering a seamless developer experience for development teams. Collaborate with developers to diagnose and troubleshoot problems, ensuring smooth operations. Take on the operational responsibility for the services under your team\'s ownership. Design and implement solutions for large-volume, long-term cold data storage, including Tier 2 on-prem to Tier 3 cloud migrations, with large capacity expectations. Integrate with existing and emerging data lakes by establishing and managing Authorizations to Connect (ATCs). Support mission data access, archive, and playback solutions in collaboration with partners ensuring program alignment and modernization baselines. Engineer resilient, secure, multi-site cold storage solutions at Secret-level classification, optimized for infrequent access and data older than one year. Continuously enhance the product, delivering software that resonates positively with users and meets their needs effectively. 6-10 years in cloud / platform operations or related roles across diverse environments Hands-on experience with large-scale cold data storage systems (MDL / UDL preferred), archive tiering, and long-term data lifecycle management Knowledge of secure data connectivity and ATC processes for classified environments Proficiency in administering AWS and / or Azure Gov Cloud environments Expertise in container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes Proficient use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a focus on Terraform Subject Matter Expertise in Linux Operating Systems administration Skilled in developing automation solutions using scripting languages Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies such as Load Balancers, DNS, SSL, Firewalls, NAT, and NTP Proven ability to troubleshoot operating systems and applications Experience handling large-scale production systems and resolving production challenges Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Enthusiasm for skill growth and tackling complex tasks A BA / BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience Active Secret Security Clearance (Must Have) Familiarity with event bus technologies such as Kafka or similar Experience with data pipeline tools and data transformation processes Proficiency with Linux / Unix command line troubleshooting Familiarity with Microsoft AKS and Amazon EKS Professional Certifications such as CKA, RHCE, Linux+, MCSA, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Security+, CISSP, CCNA Background in DevOps automation practices Direct experience in client interaction DoD operations familiarity, particularly in a DoD \"Software Factory\" context Flexible schedule in a 100% distributed workforce Premium Insurance : employee and dependent premiums covered in whole or in part depending on plan; includes Dental and Vision; Life and Disability coverage 401k with 10% match PTO : 4 weeks combined vacation and sick leave, 11 Federal holidays, your birthday, jury duty, and bereavement Education & Training : up to $3,500 per year for classes, travel, events, and materials Home Office and Merchandise : up to $750 / year for home office tech and $100 / year for Rise8 merch Wellness Budget : up to $500 / year for wellness activities; Life Time Corporate Partner option with monthly credit as alternative Equipment : MacBook Pro

Salary
The annual salary range for this role as posted is $163,121 - $203,901, regardless of final candidate location within the United States. The final level and salary will be determined based on education, qualifications, knowledge, skills, and experience, and calibrated against market data and internal team equity.
