Tax Compliance Specialist

Staffmark is seeking a detail-driven and organized Tax Compliance Specialist to support tax reporting and compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. This position plays a critical role in preparing tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate payroll tax submissions, monitoring legislative updates, and supporting audits. Pay : $16.00-$17.00 / hour (based on experience)

Schedule : Monday - Friday | 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns
• Maintain tax calendars and ensure timely submissions
• Monitor tax law changes and assess business impact
• Support payroll tax processing and reporting (941, 940, W-2, etc.)
• Handle multi-state sales / use tax filings and exemption documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure tax accuracy in systems
• Respond to agency notices and support audits
• Assist with system updates, software implementations (e.g., ADP), and process improvements
