Responsibilities Work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Requires floating to PICU and CTICU units Care for critically ill neonatal patients utilizing advanced therapies such as bubble CPAP, HFNC, and mechanical ventilation Patient care includes phototherapy, gavage feeding, PICC and peripheral line management, phlebotomy, and administration of blood products Uses EPIC EMR for patient documentation Every other weekend or as needed weekend coverage required No on-call responsibilities First time travelers considered if they have over 2 years of NICU experience Maximum of 5 days of pre-approved time off allowed, with blackout dates including Black Friday and December 21-23 All time off requests must be submitted with initial application Local candidates accepted at a local pay rate if residing within 50 miles Scrub color or dress code will be communicated by manager upon assignment Requirements Active CA RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience required Prior experience in PICU and CTICU required for floating Current BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required Proficiency with NICU III procedures, ventilators, and medication administration relevant to NICU Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621371.
