Job Title : Finance & Accounting Manager

Reports To : Executive Director

Position Summary

The Director of Finance & Accounting is a dual role position, leading the Funds accounting operations and financial management functions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls, while also providing hands-on financial analysis and insight to support forecasting, trend analysis, contribution rate setting, plan design strategy, and long-term Fund sustainability. The Director of Finance & Accounting works closely with the Executive Director to analyze financial and healthcare claims data and guide decision-making related to benefits and funding strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger maintenance, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Oversee internal and external audits, including the preparation of audited financial statements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and mentor small accounting team, providing oversight and professional development.
