Job Opening : Junior Estimator (Architectural Woodwork & Cabinetry)

Location : Madera, CA | Full-Time | Mainly Commercial Projects

A casework junior estimator assists senior estimators in calculating costs for millwork and cabinetry projects by analyzing drawings, performing quantity take-offs, obtaining vendor quotes, and preparing bid documents, all under supervision to support accurate project bidding and budgeting. This entry-level role helps develop skills in cost estimation, communication, and construction processes, serving as a stepping stone to more complex estimating responsibilities.

Responsibilities :

Assist with Cost Estimation :

Help senior estimators with quantity take-offs, which are the detailed measurements and calculations of materials and labor needed for a project.

Review Project Documents :

Analyze blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.

Gather Information :

Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors and communicate with vendors to secure quotes.

Prepare Bid Documents :

Assist in developing professional proposals and bid packages for clients and contractors.

Support Project Budgeting :

Help ensure that project estimates are accurate and align with project budgets.

Communicate and Collaborate :

Work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and other team members to maintain cost accuracy and consistency.

Track Costs :

Assist in tracking actual project costs against estimates and updating bids as project scopes change.
