Summary / Objective
The Clinical Manager supports the clinical and technical patient-facing operations at each Kovach Eye facility to ensure a positive experience and clinical outcome for our patients. This role requires strong leadership skills and clinical knowledge to hire, train and manage a highly functioning and effective group of technicians and scribes.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for training, onboarding, and performance management of technicians and scribes
- Oversees day-to-day office activities as main point of contact in the reception area
- Assists in hiring, training, onboarding, and performance management of First Impression Concierge staff
- Models and fosters a patient-centric approach
- Provides hands-on leadership for support staff and strong oversight to ensure efficient operations within the location
- Serves as back up to the Director of Operations to create clinical schedules and templates when needed
- Manages appropriate staffing levels to fulfill the clinical schedule, effectively support the Physicians, and deliver exceptional patient outcomes
- Serves as the liaison for solving issues on behalf of the physicians
- Ensures clinical efficiency and operational flow for timely patient care
- Ensures the availability of technical talent by identifying and coordinating cross training for team members on all critical clinical processes and equipment. Creates training programs as needed
- Monitors clinical documentation and demographic data for accuracy in support of the Practice’s obligations under Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
- Responsible for clinical supply orders and cost-effective inventory management practices (excluding office supplies)
- Through effective management, cultivates an environment that allows for a strong and productive employee experience
- Builds brand loyalty through high responsiveness to patient needs beginning at check-in, through the clinical process, and after receiving care
- Manages all aspects of space / infrastructure planning (ex : moves, additions, changes to workstations) and provide answers, resources, and solutions when requested

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent3+ years of ophthalmic clinical experienceCOA credentialsAdditional Experience Preferred (but not required)
