Overview
As the Store Manager, you will provide leadership, direction, and development to the store staff and successfully execute company strategies to ensure a consistent peak brand experience. Your primary responsibilities are to determine and maintain optimal staffing levels, recruit, hire, educate, and motivate a team of brand advocates who create a consistent best-in-class customer experience that aligns with our brand's purpose and values. You are responsible for setting an example for customer engagement and selling for your team, and for maximizing store profitability by controlling expenses, protecting company assets, and ensuring that store standards and processes for customer care, merchandising, operations, sustainability, and community participation are consistently well executed.
Responsibilities
- Held accountable for achieving store sales goals and promoting productivity through measurement and monitoring of progress and results against key targets
- Promote excellence in customer service by modeling brand-specific service standards, monitoring and responding to customer feedback, and ensuring the team engages with each customer to create an authentic brand experience
- Manage store schedules, loss prevention, store audits, expense control, weekly reports, and ensure company / store policies and procedures are followed
- Support store marketing events and grow relationships in the community to generate brand awareness and drive traffic by engaging with customers and supporting community initiatives
- Provide coaching and training programs to the store team in customer service, engagement, brand identity, product knowledge, and operations; provide real-time feedback for growth and success
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are met by implementing floor-sets and merchandising directives
- Maintain store inventory through proper shipping and receiving procedures
- Select, hire and develop a high-performing team
- Build an active talent community and network
- Develop staff through succession planning, rewards, recognition, performance appraisals, and appropriate discipline when needed
- Ensure compliance with safety, policies, standards, practices, and company directives
- Model behavior that respects diverse backgrounds and upholds VF Corporation and brand values
- Promote an environment that encourages participation, creativity, and learning by sharing best practices
Qualifications
Required3+ years of multi-unit leadership or store management experiencePeople and performance management experienceAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidaysDemonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales and profit resultsProven ability to drive results through a store team and meet business goalsAbility to plan and drive results while balancing shifting prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build, lead and manage a high-performing teamStrong decision-making in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsProficient computer skills including word processing and spreadsheetsProven ability to deliver high level of customer service in a retail environmentPreferredAssociate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical schoolExperience in a specialty retail environment, retail footwear / apparel industryPhysical

Compensation
Hiring Range : $63,400.00 USD - $79,250.00 USD annually. Incentive potential includes additional compensation opportunities such as an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential, with specifics provided during recruiting and interview process.
