Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for night shifts in a Level 1 Trauma setting, requiring at least 2 years of recent OR nursing experience.
Responsibilities
Position is in an 18-bed Operating Room of a Level 1 Trauma hospitalHandles a wide variety of surgical cases including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant surgeriesNight shift schedule is 3x12 hours, working from 18 : 30 to 07 : 00Primary circulating and scrub responsibilities, with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery casesUses Epic EMR systemResponsibilities include providing nursing care during surgical procedures, circulating, scrubbing, and working closely with the surgical teamPreferred experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, and Burns casesMust maintain accurate patient records in EpicOhio fingerprinting process must be completed promptly after contract signingLocals are accepted at the same rate as travelersFormer employees eligible after 6 months away; current employees at Ohio State-affiliated hospitals are ineligibleAll requested time off must be declared at the time of applicationDress code and scrub requirements will be provided during onboardingRequirements
Active RN license, either compact or Ohio state, required at time of considerationGraduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing programAt least 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a Level 1 Trauma centerCurrent BCLS certification requiredEPIC EMR experience requiredExtensive scrub experience in major specialty areasTwo professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or formal leaderBenefits
