The ideal candidate will focus on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need of speech therapy, particularly in Skilled Nursing setting.
The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans that promote effective communication skills.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Utilize evidence-based practices in speech therapy sessions to improve patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about communication disorders and effective strategies for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, physicians, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Requirements
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices.Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a compassionate approach toward patient care.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
