Accountabilities :

The Department of Music at Colgate University invites applications for the position of Teacher of Violin, beginning in Fall 2025. This part-time role is ideal for an experienced violinist with a strong commitment to teaching and a passion for fostering musical growth in a liberal arts setting. • Teaching violin lessons to students; relevant techniques and performance skills.
• Developing and implementing lesson plans catering to students’ needs and skill levels.
• Selecting appropriate repertoire and musical pieces for students to work on during lessons and performances.
• Staying updated with current trends and developments in violin and incorporating innovative teaching methods into lessons.
• Meeting weekly with students to provide 30-minute or 60-minute lessons throughout the term.
