About Interactive Brokers

This is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days remote). We are primarily a technology company and our focus is on trading innovation and platform excellence.

Senior DevOps Engineer – Responsibilities

Write and review code, develop documentation, and conduct capacity planning and proof‑of‑concept work on new technologies.
Design, implement, and maintain CI / CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable build and release processes.
Serve as an escalation contact for service incidents as part of an on‑call rotation.
Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or other STEM‑related field.

5+ years of experience in Linux / Unix systems and networking fundamentals.

5+ years of coding experience.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).

Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).

Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Additional Success Factors

Experience in a highly regulated industry such as finance.

Experience with agile methodologies.

Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
