About Interactive Brokers

This is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days remote). We are primarily a technology company and our focus is on trading innovation and platform excellence.

Senior DevOps Engineer – Responsibilities

  • Write and review code, develop documentation, and conduct capacity planning and proof‑of‑concept work on new technologies.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI / CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable build and release processes.
  • Serve as an escalation contact for service incidents as part of an on‑call rotation.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or other STEM‑related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux / Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
  • 5+ years of coding experience.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
  • Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Additional Success Factors

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry such as finance.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
