The Commercial Sales Specialist is an established performer that works to facilitate and support sales functions and projects by providing marketing, samples, customer communication, database management, and lead generation to drive profitability to the territory. This role will play a critical part in increasing segment sales by calling on external customers for the purpose of obtaining segment sales.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position :

  • Provide customer account management such as sampling, product information & application, and specification support.
  • Connect and provide updates to internal teams and external customers regarding opportunity pipeline, customer inquiries, product solutions or changes from specification to sale.
  • Prospect new architectural and design firms as well as maintain relationships with existing accounts.
  • Develops in-depth knowledge and expertise with regard to all Daltile products, allied products, and installation methods by attending vendor presentations, workshop.
  • Provide customer account management such as order entry, order inquiry, product information, order status, pricing, inventory inquiries, and transportation management to analyze and resolve customer needs.
  • Resolve problems, communicate solutions, or request information from the customer.
  • Connect and provide updates to internal teams and external customers to address customer inquiries and order issues from order entry to invoice.
  • Prospect new customers and maintain relationships with existing accounts.
  • Support sales of customers by providing presentation design, marketing campaign templates, calendar scheduling, and project tracking for segment.
  • Assist segment by providing support such as customer event attendance, maintenance of social media platform pages, product expertise, quote estimation, and communication for new product launches.
  • Respond to customer needs of low to medium complexity.
  • Work under close supervision and leadership in the functional area.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education :

  • Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Competencies :

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
