In this role, a typical day will look like :

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce downtime, scrap, and cost.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new materials, processes, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new product integration by conducting testing, building prototypes, optimizing cell layouts, and defining required tooling and finalized procedures.
  • Design and implement jigs, fixtures, guards, and tooling to aid production.
  • Specify and modify system components to meet design and performance specifications.
  • Investigate and resolve equipment failures, executing design or process modifications to permanently resolve.
  • Plan, coordinate, and document process and design changes following engineering change order process.
  • Address internal and external customer complaints through investigation, root-cause analysis, countermeasures, and documentation using problem-solving methods.
  • Investigate and resolve product and process failures through root-cause analysis to support production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design for manufacturability and reliability.
  • Serve as liaison between engineering, production, and other departments to ensure alignment on design and production requirements.
  • Partner with suppliers and vendors to support current designs, develop new products, and identify material productivity opportunities.

The essential requirements of the job include :

  • BA / BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, MRP systems, and Microsoft Office.

    US-only. The salary range for this role is $90,000 – $100,000 USD per year, plus bonus pay. The company may adjust this range in future.
