Brief Description
The Manager of Information Technology's primary responsibility is to oversee the streamlined operation of the IT department and to ensure it aligns with the business objectives of the organization. This individual's principal goals are to manage the on-going operation of IT services and to attain all service levels for the department. This role involves strategic planning, team management, vendor coordination, input into budgeting, process development and maintaining compliance with industry standards. This role will focus on problem solving and planning efforts in support of operational excellence for our technology environments and infrastructure. They will have financial input responsibility for annual budgets, requiring advanced planning before each fiscal cycle. The IT Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of all operational and infrastructure processes, managing, and motivating a team of employees, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs
Reports to : Director of Information Technology
Hours : 8 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m., Monday-Friday, additional time as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- At least four years' experience working in Systems Analysis or related field.
- Strong ability to lead a team, coach, train, hire, and guide a Service or Help desk daily operations.
- Experience with Enterprise Software system, Software as a Service (SaaS) and web-based applications.
- Experience in analyzing and documenting business, system, and IT processes. Demonstrated ability to bring clarity to processes that may not be well understood.
- Experience with telecommunications VoIP systems, administration and configuration.
- Experience with mobile device management.
- Strong Knowledge of Mac and Windows operating systems.
- Well-Developed interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A team player with a desire to provide a high level of customer service.
- Sound understanding of operational processes coupled with proven business and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, while ensuring that commitments and timetables are met.
- Ability to keep information in confidence.

Typical Duties And Responsibilities
Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance. Coordinate with the Human Resources Department as needed on these functions.Coordinate and manage incidents, projects and requests, ensuring that all aspects of the event are executed successfully.Documents, maintains, and enhances existing DMP processes associated with hardware and software including but not limited to : Local servers (physical and virtual), equipment, and applications.Promote team building and support collaboration between work groups.Direct supervision of 3rd Party and Managed Services Partners (Cloud / Network / Phone).Monitor all services and ensure uptime and performance targets are met.Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect the organization's data and systems.Perform Asset management and device tracking.Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.Manage financial aspects of the IT Department as assigned, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.Analyzes and troubleshoots the DMP IT systems and processes.Managing and coordinating all IT-related matters including systems integration, data, wireless communications, security, and other telecom matters.Provides direction in complex problem-solving situations and participates in direct interaction with internal staff as required.Observes and adheres to DMP Data Classification Standard.Observes company policies. Continuously finds processes that create improved efficiency while maintaining conformance to requirements. Acknowledges responsibility to satisfy the customer, reduce cycle time and eliminate waste.May perform related duties or fill in for others in the department or other departments when requested. May train or instruct fellow workers regarding their own duties.EOE / Vet / Disabled
