A growing Des Moines Auto Dealership is seeking the position of  AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN for our rapidly growing business. We service all makes, models and years of cars and light duty trucks .   Under general supervision, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing domestic and foreign vehicles, and will range from basic to advanced skills. This is a Monday through Friday work week with a competitive wage opportunity! NO WEEKENDS!  Pay is based on experience, up to $30 / hour.

Job Responsibilities of Automotive Service Technician :

• Diagnose mechanical problems using computerized diagnostic equipment
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Test parts and systems to ensure proper functionality using testing equipment and road-tests
• Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, performing tune-ups, checking fluid levels and rotating tires; replace or repair worn parts, including brake pads and wheel bearings using common hand tools
• Disassemble and reassemble parts
• Complete all associated records and reports timely and accurately
• Maintain an organized neat and safe work area

We are a pre-owned late model automobile dealership serving the Des Moines Area for more than 25 years. We are looking for a candidate for our location located just half a mile North of I-80 on NE 14th St in Des Moines, Iowa.  We have locations in Ankeny and in Marshalltown as well.
