About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years in CVICU required

License : Current NJ or Compact state license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

• ECMO experience
• Open Heart experience
• Ability to float to ICU and IMC as needed
• Must pass mandatory EKG exam with 80% or higher on orientation day

Description :

The position requires a Registered Nurse with experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.

The candidate will be responsible for managing patients who have undergone open heart surgery and those requiring ECMO support.

Skills required include arterial line management, central line care, and management of ventilated patients.

The nurse will also administer blood products and manage patients experiencing dysrhythmias.

Knowledge of isolation precautions and infection prevention is crucial.

Candidates must be experienced with high flow nasal cannula and be capable of interpreting arterial blood gases.

The unit supports adults and geriatric patients and has a daily census consistent with similar ICU environments.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.

Floating to other units may occur as needed, and all candidates will be expected to engage in ongoing education and training as necessary.
