Activity Assistant

Assists with the development and implementation of specific activities designed to improve the functioning of StayWell Senior Care / PACE participants who have a wide variety of physical, cognitive, emotional, developmental or age-related needs. Exhibit knowledge and compliance with StayWell Senior Care’s values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork.

High school diploma or GED required. Ability to observe participant behaviors and report observations to appropriate staff. Must be able to relate to and work with members of other disciplines. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to produce and maintain accurate records and reports. Ability to function independently once tasks have been assigned. Ability to plan and lead a variety of recreational activities.

One year experience in a formal activities program. Arts, music and crafts experience essential. Must have one year experience working with the frail or elderly.
