A well-established health services facility in Bronx, NY is seeking a Registered Dietician to join their skilled nursing team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients to provide comprehensive nutritional care and education.

About the Opportunity :

  • Shift : Daytime
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, including one Saturday per month
  • Hours : 9am to 5pm
  • Setting : Skilled Nursing Facility

Responsibilities :

  • Screening and assessing patients based on care levels
  • Determining nutritional needs and providing follow-up care
  • Interviewing patients and / or families to obtain dietary history
  • Monitoring and educating about food / drug interactions
  • Recording interactions in the patient education section of medical charts
  • Interpreting lab and social data relevant to nutritional care
  • Consulting with physicians on diet modifications
  • Modifying patient menus as needed

    • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting
  • Degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition from an accredited college / university
  • New York State Certification as a Dietitian-Nutritionist
  • Registered Dietitian credentialing (CDR)
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
