About The Position

Must-Have :

• Ability to manage O2 protocol
• Experience in non-invasive airway management
• Proficiency in peripheral line care and management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE
• Familiarity with computerized documentation

Description :

The Registered Nurse will work in the Medical Surgical unit on the night shift.

This position involves providing care for a patient ratio of 1 : 6.

The role includes the management of various medical tasks such as blood product administration, chest tube care, colostomy care, and feeding tube management.

Candidates will perform phlebotomy and manage IVs, PCA, and oxygen administration.

Wound care and management of surgical drains are also key responsibilities.

Other duties include activating rapid response teams as needed.

The unit accepts first-time travelers and floating to like units may be required based on facility needs.

Candidates will receive a brief orientation upon arrival.

This role mandates adherence to infection control practices and isolation precautions.

The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics.

An interdisciplinary support team is available, including physical therapy and respiratory services.

Weekends will require a commitment to work six weekend shifts within a six-week period.
