Job Title :  Material Handler

Type of Role :  Contract to Hire

Shift / Hours :  6pm-6am

Location :  Old Pearsall Rd

Hourly Range :  $14.50

Role and Responsibilities :

  • Scan and palletize

Unload incoming shipments from trucks / trailers; inspect goods for damage and verify against shipping manifests.

Use material handling equipment to move products within warehouse (staging, storage, production, shipping).

Pick and stage orders for shipping; prepare pallets, packages, or crates; label accurately.

Maintain inventory records; perform cycle counts; update computer / WMS (Warehouse Management System) for inventory transactions.

Keep work areas, storage areas, and docks tidy; remove waste, debris; adhere to housekeeping standards.

Follow all safety policies, wear required PPE, operate equipment safely, and report safety risks.

Assist with loading outgoing shipments; secure loads properly for transport.

Potentially cross-train in related warehouse duties as needed (e.g., packing, basic maintenance, stock rotation).

Skills and Experience :

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Good attention to detail, accuracy in counting and labeling
  • Basic computer skills to use inventory systems, scan devices, fill out paperwork
  • Dependability, punctuality, ability to work as part of a team, possibly including overtime or shift work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (or more depending on load requirements), frequent standing, walking, bending, and physical activity
