Responsibilities Work in an acute care radiology department specializing in mammography Assigned to either screening or diagnostic mammography; no floating between screening and diagnostic duties Screening involves standard and implant patients, special needs patients with mobility aids, and 4D mammograms Diagnostic duties include breast scans and occasional minor procedures Meridian location utilizes 2 Hologic scanners for screening and 1 Hologic machine, plus a prone biopsy table with Bravera biopsy device for diagnostics Average of 18-21 screenings per 8-hour shift or 21-25 in a 10-hour shift; diagnostics average 14 cases per day Uses Epic EMR and Change PACS system; experience with Epic preferred Day shifts are 5x8 and may vary between 7 : 30 AM and 5 : 30 PM No weekend, holiday, or call requirements Perform both screening and diagnostic mammography, including imaging for implant and special needs patients Department support includes a lead tech, though lead may not always be onsite Radiologists batch-read images; staff do not start IVs Department orientation includes 2-3 shifts in addition to general orientation Scrub color is flexible; attire must be clean and professional No blocked scheduling or special schedule requests will be accommodated Permanent employees must be separated from facility for at least one year before eligible for travel assignment Requirements Minimum 3 years of recent experience in mammography with at least 1-2 prior contracts Active ARRT certification with Mammography specialty required Current BLS certification required Experience with Hologic equipment and mammography procedures Experience with Epic EMR preferred Must provide two professional references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last three years Copy of driver's license required License required if applicable; must be active at time of consideration No local candidates within a 50-mile radius eligible for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-623210.
