A Superior Air Conditioning Company is seeking an experiencedHVAC Lead Installerto join our growing team. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of HVAC systems and the ability to ensure top-quality installations while mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities
- Safely use step and extension ladders to complete installations.
- Maintain jobsite safety, including proper electrical safety practices.
- Manage van stock to ensure all necessary materials are on hand.
- Properly prep jobsites before installation.
- Pump down HVAC systems and recover refrigerant.
- Cut, swage, and braze copper lines correctly.
- Evacuate HVAC systems and perform leak searches.
- Connect low-voltage wiring and understand its functions.
- Work safely in attics and confined spaces.
- Assemble trunk lines and connect flex duct properly.
- Clean and maintain ductwork.
- Fill out forms accurately using ServiceTitan.
- Conduct pre-job briefings with customers.
- Install flue piping, gas lines, drain lines, air handlers, and gas furnaces.
- Properly charge systems to correct superheat and subcool.
- Complete startup checklists and troubleshoot start-up issues.
- Install mini-split systems and water source heat pumps.
- Lead clean and seal jobs using the Aeroseal machine.
- Design and install duct systems following best practices.
- Explain accessories to customers and add them to invoices.
- Train and mentor HVAC helpers to develop future technicians.
Qualifications
EPA Certification (Required)Strong knowledge of high-efficiency systems (inverters, dual-stage, and FIT systems)Experience with ductwork, duct layout, airflow, and system troubleshootingProficiency in ServiceTitan for documentation and workflow managementAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to safety, quality, and customer serviceBenefits - Why Work With Us?
