Job Title : Head of Procurement

Location : Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Type : Permanent

N-Tier Solutions Inc. is seeking a Head of Procurement to oversee our client’s procurement operations and help drive value through cost-effective sourcing and supplier management. This individual will manage procurement spend and ensure delivery of related services and processes. This role is key to ensuring that the organization secures the best value from suppliers while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the organization’s objectives and growth. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure procurement aligns with overall business goals.
  • Create and maintain positive and long-term relationships with key suppliers. Negotiate favorable terms, track supplier performance, and resolve issues to make sure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage procurement budgets and ensure spend control across the organization. Lead cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Implement best practices to streamline procurement processes, from requisition to payment. Leverage technology to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure procurement practices comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Mitigate risks by evaluating potential suppliers and monitoring contracts to prevent supply chain disruptions.
  • Provide training and support to the procurement team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Oversee procurement reporting, tracking performance against key metrics. Present procurement performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership.

Requirements :

  • 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a large organization.
  • Proven track record of strategic sourcing, spend management and analytics, contract management, supplier management, and stakeholder management.
  • A good understanding of IT and non-IT procurement, including hardware, software, cloud services, professional services, travel, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiar with procurement and sourcing tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
