Downstream Processing Technician
Job Description
The Downstream Processing Technician will play a pivotal role in supporting the manufacture of Commercial and Clinical Biologics. This position involves following Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and performing various functions related to downstream processes such as purification and filtration / HPLC. Key activities include propagation of mammalian cell culture, aseptic cell culture operations, execution of large-scale production bioreactors, and conducting large-scale filtration or centrifugation. The technician will also handle purification through large-scale chromatography.

Work Environment
The role requires working in cleanroom / aseptic suites with a rotating night shift schedule (6 : 15 pm-6 : 45 am) over a 12-hour shift pattern, working 7 days out of a 2-week period. A full gowning suit is required, including a bodysuit, gloves, hair & beard nets, face covers, and safety glasses. Ability to meet clean room gowning requirements, including wearing Tyvek, Nitrile, and / or Latex gloves, is essential. Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs independently and stand for 80% of the shift. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in large-scale biological and chemistry pharma operations, supporting the production of biologics used in pharmaceuticals for autoimmune diseases
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.20 - $32.20 / hr.
