Job Summary :

  • We are seeking an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to provide part-time support (10–20 hours per month) for our network infrastructure in Dallas, TX.
  • This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys flexible, fractional engagements and can bring deep Cisco expertise to ensure network stability, performance, and security.
  • You will work onsite as needed to support routing, switching, wireless, and troubleshooting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide onsite network support for Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and firewall environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with network design, configuration changes, and best practices.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance, security, and availability.
  • Work with in-house IT staff on escalated tickets and knowledge transfer.
  • Document network changes and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Support ad-hoc projects as needed, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.

    • Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Cisco technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching, routing, and wireless solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco ASA / Firepower or Palo Alto firewalls is a plus.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Cisco CCNP (or higher) certification strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a part-time capacity.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Location : Onsite in Dallas, TX (occasional remote coordination possible).

    • Hours :

  • 10–20 hours per month.

    • Duration :

  • Ongoing, part-time engagement.

    • Compensation :

  • $75–$100 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
