job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork day shift from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM Weekend requirements apply Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients Conduct technically proficient 2D, M-mode and Doppler cardiac exams Coordinate activities with hospital departments including scheduling exams and transporting patients Assist cardiologists during exam dictation by preparing and measuring M-modes Respond to patient needs during examinations and report condition changes to physicians or nurses Maintain echo supply orders and keep examination rooms clean and organized Share responsibility for on-call coverage for emergency echo exams outside regular hours Maintain quality control of equipment operation and examination quality Required certifications : A.R.D.M.S. / CCI registered or registry eligible, State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License, BLS certification through American Heart Association Minimum qualifications : High school diploma, two-year allied health education program preferred Two years of active echocardiogram experience preferred Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to work under stressful conditions Manual dexterity required to perform echocardiograms Physical requirements include lifting patients and pushing heavy equipment Referral bonus
