Position Summary :
The Bed and Bread Driver is responsible for driving a truck on a designated route to make predetermined stops, loading and unloading meals, and respectfully serving meals to individuals at each stop. The role also includes the pick-up and delivery of donated items, conducting daily maintenance checks, and ensuring the cleanliness of the vehicle.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Drive truck on route making predetermined stops according to schedule
- Load and unload meals on the truck
- Prepare and respectfully serve meals to all present at the stops
- Pick up and / or delivery of donated items using box trucks as assigned
- Transport items needing the use of box truck
- Complete daily maintenance check of truck and report problems to designated person
- Maintain cleanliness of truck while on route and thoroughly clean truck after route is completed
- Assist in picking up donated items
- Log the number of persons served
- Safely operate vehicle and follow all ruling road
- Perform other duties as assigned
