The Town of Johnstown, Colorado is actively hiring a new Public Works Project Manager to be part of our dynamic and passionate team. The Project Manager oversees the Town's pavement management program and serves as the project manager on a variety of pavement and capital improvement projects. This position is responsible for overseeing, supervising and evaluating the work of contractors, and will provide oversight of public improvement inspections for private development, along with reviewing right-of-way permit applications, and inspecting construction.

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise and effective communication skills. This will include a robust background in equipment, vendor, administrative, and budget management, procurement, and safety regulations. They have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Town staff, vendors, local, state, federal agencies, and within the community to ensure that a common vision is enacted and supported.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years of responsible project management experience in civil construction and maintenance, repair of streets, roadways, and storm sewers. Must be familiar with assessing Pavement Condition Index and developing maintenance plans. Preference will be given to those candidates that possess a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, and certifications as a Project Management Professional, Professional Engineer (PE) license or other professional certifications in construction management, project management, business administration, or related fields, as well as ATSSA Traffic Control Technician certification.
