Student Associate

The student employee will support Central Human Resources by assisting with secure document imaging and administrative functions. This role requires attention to detail, discretion in handling confidential information, and flexibility to support a variety of HR-related projects.

Document Imaging and Data Entry

  • Scan highly confidential HR documents into the imaging system.
  • Apply appropriate metadata and data tags for accurate recordkeeping.
  • Confirm successful digital storage of each document.

Document Management and Compliance

  • Ensure proper handling of sensitive paper records.
  • Follow established procedures for the secure destruction of original documents after imaging.
  • Maintain compliance with HR data retention policies.
  • Administrative Support

  • Provide general support to the HR administrative unit.
  • Assist with workflow tracking, organization, and clerical needs.
  • Ad Hoc HR Projects

  • Contribute to special projects and assignments as needed.
  • Assist with HR initiatives during peak periods or when additional support is required.
  • Required Qualifications

    Must have a work-study award. Be adaptable to new computer software. High school graduation or GED. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, which includes attention to detail and organization. Excellent interpersonal skills, tactful, and self starter. Ability to manage projects including multiple priorities. The highest degree of integrity in all aspects of work.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Driving Required

    This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

    Salary Range

    $15 / hour
