About The Position

Job Title : Pharmacy Technician

Profession : Pharmacy Tech

Shift : 4x8.5

Hours per Shift : Tuesday - Friday 8 : 30am - 5 : 00pm

Experience : Minimum of one year pharmacy experience preferred

License : Certified Pharmacy Technician or Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing

Certifications : Completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program (CPhT) required

Must-Have :

• Minimum of one year pharmacy experience preferred
• Certified Pharmacy Technician or Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing

Description :

Works under the delegated authority of the pharmacist on duty to assess patients for inclusion into the discharge prescription program.

Facilitates transmission of medications to beds and prescriptions to the pharmacy.

Performs data entry and delivers medications before patient discharge.

Also functions as a pharmacy technician within the Community Pharmacy when needed.

Key Responsibilities and Duties :

Promotes the discharge prescription program.

Facilitates processing, payment, and delivery of prescriptions.

Provides prompt and courteous service to all customers in the Community Pharmacy.

Assists in delivering medication to the appropriate customers using proper identifiers.

Affords customers the opportunity to speak with a pharmacist.

Performs prescription and refill data entry and dispensing duties under direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Processes prescriptions and refills to appropriate PBMs in accordance with dispensing parameters.

Assists in resolving third-party rejections.

Assists in inventory control.
