As a Security Guard - Armed Full Time in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you'll play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help prevent incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed security-related protocols as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including coordinating with medical staff and / or law enforcement as needed.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while representing Allied Universal at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
