Multimedia Systems Support Technician
Supervisor : Multimedia Instructional Technology Manager. This position collaborates closely with faculty, subject matter experts, the information technology team, and the instructional design team to support the effective integration and use of technology for teaching and learning across multiple modalities.
Specific Responsibilities
- Coordinate, schedule, maintain, deliver, and set up audio-visual / media equipment across the campus during classes.
- Assist faculty and staff with the use of A-V and media equipment; organize and maintain an inventory of media equipment and supplies.
- Manage video recordings and live streams of various college activities.
- Prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Moderate physical activity : requires handling objects of average weight up to fifty (50) pounds or standing and walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Produce and edit content for faculty presentations at their request.
- Support faculty and instructor usage of the podcast studio.
- Record, edit, and upload lectures for courses, both synchronous and asynchronous.
- Support faculty, staff, or students with video conferencing for all classroom activities.
- Assist in the Simulation Center as needed, including use of iSimulate, Learning Space, mannekins, etc.
- Assist the Multimedia Instructional Technology Manager in updating, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting VR and AR technology.
- Train faculty and students on the proper use of VR and AR technology.
- Maintain an excellent level of customer service.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.Experience with instructional platform technology preferred.Key Competencies
Proficiency in Windows and Mac environments.Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience with audio and visual support.Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro (or other video editing software) beneficial.Familiarity with cloud storage.Ability to work independently and within a team.Ability to maintain an excellent level of customer service with faculty, staff, and students.Working knowledge of safety equipment : gloves, eye and ear protection, etc.The essential physical and mental requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the job's essential functions.
